Do you want to share your passion for language and culture with kids?

WLCA is always looking for world language teachers! We are currently seeking Spanish and Mandarin teachers for before or after school classes for the Fall 2012 school year in the following regions:

  • Seattle
  • Bellevue and the Eastside Area
  • Puyallup
  • Tacoma
  • Gig Harbor
  • Fort Lewis
  • Olympia

Qualifications:
  • Native or fluent speaker of Spanish or Mandarin (also accepting resumes for French, Japanese, German, Farsi or Arabic speakers)
  • Must enjoy working with children, prior experience working with children is highly desired
  • No prior teaching necessary, but highly desired (all hired teachers will be trained in our methodology)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Reliable transportation
Hours:

Part-time position. 1-4 hours per week. Hired teachers need to commitment to at least one school year.

Compensation:

Starting rate is $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Please Note:

This is a very part-time teaching position. Typically, we can only provide one class for our teachers to teach because classes are usually held simultaneously. It is ideal for anyone with a flexible schedule or wanting a few hours of work per week. It is also a great opportunity for anyone planning on going into teaching a foreign language. You will gain incredible experience in a field that extremely rewarding.
