A.C.E. Program Overview

Intensive English Classes Offered
(20+ hours of intensive English classes per week)

Skill levels offered

Level 1 (Beginning) - Level 4 (High Intermediate)

Following level 4, students enter the Skagit Valley College Bridge program, taking 2 English courses, and 2 regular college courses for 10 weeks or more.

  • Practical Skills Electives
    Choices such as TOEFL preparation, Pronunciation, Computer Skills, Grammar (up to 4 hours per week)
  • Conversation Partner/Conversation Club Program

Admission to Skagit Valley College

Undergraduate admission:  Graduates of A.C.E.'s Intensive English Program level 4, who meet other requirements for admission, will be accepted by the college into the SVC Bridge program without a TOEFL score.

Conditional admission: International students may apply for conditional admission to SVC without a TOEFL score.  Students conditionally admitted will receive a letter of conditional admission from the college and an I-20 from A.C.E.
