Junior Institute: Study Tour of Seattle
The Study Tour of Seattle consists of international students from around the world ages 10 to 17. The students' goals are to experience U.S. culture and practice their English skills through sightseeing, part-time English classes and living with American host families. This program is for groups of 12 or more students.

 Welcome and homestay orientation
Full
homestay with all meals (double placement)
ESL

hours per class day (class will be shortened
occasionally to allow

out of town field trips)

For
the student cultural presentation, students
should bring to Seattle
something
unique from their culture. The students and
instructors will
work
together on the cultural presentation for host
families at the
Farewell
Party.
Program
costs for one chaperone to 15 students, includes
homestay
(single
placement, transportation, and entrance fees to
scheduled
activities).
Chaperone is expected to have strong English
skills.
Predeparture
materials to prepare the students for their visit
to America
and
their homestay experience in Seattle.
