YOUR AMERICAN HOST IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE FOLLOWING:

Accommodations
This includes a private bedroom with a door and window, a bed, adequate lighting, dresser and closet. (These items must be in good condition and appropriate to the student’s needs.)

Food & Meal Preparation
For option #1 students, groceries (food) are provided for all meals. Your host prepares at least five dinner meals each week for you. You must prepare your own breakfast and lunch -- your host will be happy to instruct you in meal preparation.

For option #2 students, the student must buy and prepare their own meals.

Some Household Items
These items include bath towels, bedding, toilet tissue, bath and laundry soaps. Use of laundry facilities. Also, the host pays for local telephone calls AND for utilities (heat, water, lights). Please instruct student how to conserve on utilities. Student must use telephone calling card for any long distant calls.
