APD: Access for People with Disabilities Initiative

Language Works! is committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities in all its programs and has served people with various disabilities, such as learning disabilities, visual impairment, autism, hearing impairment, speech impairment, and mobility challenges. We have developed the Access for People with Disabilities initiative to help reach out to this important underserved population both in the U.S. and internationally. APD plans to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in the global village despite language and cultural barriers.

Access for People with Disabilities is currently involved with the following projects:

Family Support (CONNECT) Project
A project planning to integrate the best of one-stops and search engines to connect persons with developmental disabilities and their families to information about services and support through computer technology. ...more

Access for Youth with Autism
AYA provides autism information and support to affected families in underserved communities. ...more

Language Works! is a division of Associates in Cultural Exchange (A.C.E.).
