  • ten-week USAID program in educational theory and administration. Training conducted in Spanish (Honduras).
  • nine-month USAID program for high school instructors in sports management (Belize).
  • one-week USAID program providing an introduction to the U.S. education system (Poland).
  • one-week program for administrators of continuing education programs (Sweden).
  • three-week USAID program on effective instructional methods for vocational-and technical education (Belize).
  • 12-week USAID program for a government supervisor of a graduate engineering school (Morocco).
  • one-year program in education leadership and English. Sponsored by Fulbright Memorial Fund in Japan.
    Nutrition Program
  • nine-month USAID program in nutrition focusing on dietary education and the administration of meal programs for special populations such as women, children, the elderly, and the critically ill (Belize).
    Science
  • three one-week programs in science and environmental studies for young adults. Program conducted in Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan).
    Study Tours
  • USIA study tour for artists from countries throughout Latin America. Program conducted in Spanish.
  • five-week USAID/CAPS program for 50 students from science magnet high schools in Costa Rica. Students studied science and visited scientific institutions in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Seattle, and Spokane, Washington. Training conducted in Spanish (Costa Rica).
  • USIA study tour on multi-ethnicity for journalists and young leaders from Asia and the Middle East.
    Teacher Training
  • intensive five-week training program for primary and secondary English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instructors conducted for the Korean Ministry of Education (Korea)
  • two-week program in current ESL/EFL teaching methodologies for Corona A.B. English Teachers (Sweden).
  • six-week program in ESL and multi-ethnicity for Thai high school students sponsored by the Thai Civil Service Commission (Thailand).
  • three-week program in ESL and cultural exchange for youths sponsored by the Japanese Foreign Ministry (Japan).
  • two-week program in ESL and North American culture for students from Taiwan sponsored by Taiwanese Knowledge Investment and Development, Inc. (Taiwan).
  • three-week ESL and cross-cultural program for Sapporo Women’s College students conducted in San Diego, California (Japan).
  • four-week intensive ESL program for executives from VITRO of Mexico, a partner of Ernst and Young of Madrid, Spain, and an engineer from Nippon Steel of Japan

    Mining
  • three-day seminar on ruby mining conducted for a business owner (Tanzania).
  • three-day seminar on the management of coal mines in a free-market economy. Training conducted in Russian (Russia).
  • three-day seminar on gemstone mining for the manager of an alluvial mine (Madagascar).
