Today's complex and volatile times require preparation to manage change in both government and business. A.C.E. management programs prepare both business and government leaders to manage their organizations, considering the international environment.
- Leadership and Organizational Development
Management of change in business and government with consideration of human motivation and team interaction.
- Quality Management
The Management of a government or business organization with consideration for quality service for the public or clients.
- Cross-cultural Business Management
Development of cross-cultural personnel teams and business practices in specific cultures. Business language courses are also arranged upon request.
- Public Administration
Budget management with consideration of local political factors, and municipal management with the consideration of municipal and national government interaction.

Business Management
- one-week program in management of a regional development center (Slovakia).
- two-week program for HANSOL managers covering U.S. business practices, including research into current business opportunities in the Pacific Northwest (Korea).
- two-week program for Samsung managers exploring U.S. business practices, culminating in a two-day internship placement with a local company (Korea).
- two-week program covering Russian business practices conducted in Russia for Samsung managers (Korea).
- one-week USAID program in restaurant, bar, and fast food management (Lithuania).
Entrepreneurship
- six-week USAID/CAPS program focusing on small business development skills. Training conducted in Spanish (Bolivia).
Public Administration
- three-week program for rural Hungarian Mayors and County Planners. Training conducted in Hungarian.
- four-week program in local government for leaders involved in municipal services. Training conducted in Russian (Uzbekistan).
- four-week program in local government for municipal leaders (Bosnia, Croatia).
- four-week USAID program in education and public administration for the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education. Training conducted in Spanish (Nicaragua).
- six-week USAID/GPS program in community leadership for 23 elected and non-elected leaders from Guatemala. Training conducted in Spanish (Guatemala).
- ROCAPS program for auditors focusing on ethics in government (Central America).
- USAID program for Hungarian Mayors.
Infrastructure Development Training
- one-week program analyzing financial and organizational systems in the U.S. as models for similar public projects overseas (Poland).
- two-day training program on federally-funded civil service operations administered at the local level (Yemen).
Rural Community Leaders
- four-week leadership training program for leaders of youth organizations. (Belize).
- a six-week USAID/CAPS program offering business skills and leadership training for 20 rural agri-business and community leaders. Training conducted in Spanish (Costa Rica).
Public Relations
- three-week program in public relations for members of MOMR (Yemen).
Internship Projects
- professional internships in medical equipment maintenance, sports management, and hospital administration (Belize). Sponsored by USAID and PAHO.
- five-week engineering internship program for Kuwait University.
- internship with KOMO-TV with training in journalism at the University of Washington School of Communication for Riyadh Television (Saudi Arabia).
Public Management & Business
Recent Programs

Ghanaian Business Student Program
A group of university students from Ghana, West Africa, through class instruction, guest lectures, and government and business visits, the participants goals are to increase their knowledge of the U.S. business culture, begin a U.S. style business plan and to learn keyboarding and computer skills. The program also includes U.S. sightseeing and living with host families.
