    Management of goverment and business organizations today requires careful management of environmental issues. To offer Products internationally, environmental regulations in each country must be considered. Receive training in some of the following important areas of environmental managment:

    • Pollution Prevention
      Low-cost methods to save money and meet international environmental standards. ISO 14000 standards are covered.

    • Forestry Management
      Sustainable forestry practices which are also economically viable. Certification of sustainable forestry will become more and more important in today's timber industry.

    • six-week program presenting models of community-action and public awareness campaigns for environmental issues. Training conducted in Spanish (Honduras).

    • three-week program on biodiversity protection. Training conducted in Washington and Alaska, in Russia (Russia).
    • one-week program in environmental policy (Latvia).
    • three-week USAID program in U.S. environmental policy and natural resource planning, with emphasis on water resource management. Training conducted in Russian (Russia).
    • ten-week program in watershed and natural resource management. Training conducted in Spanish (Honduras).
    • six-week USAID program in natural resource administration. Training conducted in Spanish (Ecuador).
      Forestry
    • two 2-week forestry management programs sponsored by World Bank and USAID. Training conducted in Spanish (Honduras).
    • one-week forest management program for Thai National Park officials (Thailand).
    • two 8-week USAID programs in forest management (Pakistan).
    Conferences
    A.C.E. organizes evironmental conferences that build awareness and create solutions for the challenges facing the earth today.

Past Conferences

In January 1999, A.C.E. Training and Development Institute organized a pioneering conference, "Business Solutions for Global Warming", with sponsorship by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington Council on International Trade.

In November 1999, A.C.E. Training and Development Institute worked with USAID and the U.S. department of Energy to put together a conference, "Clean Energy Partnerships", with officials of ministries of energy and power from around the world.

  • one-week program in restoration of soil contaminated by oil (Albania).

  • one-week program in landfill policy (Croatia).
  • one-week program in landfill and hazardous waste management and recycling (Czech Republic).
    Water Quality
  • three-week program covering U.S. water quality standards and federal, state, and local programs for water quality and natural resource conservation (Central Asia).
